Description

Pitcairn Island in the middle of the Pacific. A small British colony 2,000 miles from the nearest shore. A paradise on Earth, where the descendants of eighteenth-century rebels from the Bounty ship live. In 2004, six Pitcairn residents were charged with sex offenses against minors. Tomorrow the Queen Arrives is a story about a microworld created by men who introduced the right to incest, rape and paedophilia on the island. It turned out that paradise was a hell in which acts of ruthless evil were justified by tradition and native custom. For years, the community silently tolerated the inhumane practices of its leaders, and during the trial many islanders even defended the rapists. For the price of security offered by belonging to a community, they were ready to sacrifice their own humanity.

The motto of the show are the words of Philip Zimbardo from the Lucifer Effect: “One of the most critical, least acknowledged contributors to evil goes beyond the protagonists of harm to the silent chorus who look but do not see, who hear but do not listen.”
