Staged in 2006, by Jan Klata at Wrocławski Teatr Współczesny, „Transfer!” set off on another journey abroad. From 5 to 7 November, it was presented in Paris at the Festival d'Automne.

The idea of event, inititated in 1972, was a year-round presentation of literature, poetry, film, drama and dance from the whole world. After a few editions, it was acclaimed as one of the most interesting cultural events presenting avant-garde art in the region.

„Transfer!” was included in the theatre programming of this year's Festival along with „The Threepenny Opera” directed by Robert Wilson, the productions made by this year's winners of the European Prize „New Theatrical Realities” - Guy Cassiers and Rodrigo Garcia, „Woyzeck on the Highveld” directed by William Kentridge, presented at the recent edition of the festival DIALOG-WROCŁAW, and the production which is already familiar to the Polish audience: „Dying as a Country” directed by Michael Marmarinos who also worked at Wrocławski Teatr Współczesny, on the play entitled „Akropolis. Reconstruction”.

The script of „Transfer!” is based on the memories of witnesses and participants of the events that took place 60 years ago; those people personally experienced the drama of being driven out of their homeland. Jan Klata invited those elderly people to tell their own stories from stage. Professional actors only appear in grotesque episodes of a political conference. A crash between the world of theatre and authentic relations reveals the main idea of the production: the tragedy swept and wounded by the cogs of the mechanism of History, in the moment when it seemed the worst was already over.

In less than three yeas, „Transfer!” foreign tours included the festivals: Novaya Drama in Moscow, New Plays from Europe in Wiesbaden, EUROPALIA. EUROPA in Brussels, Europe XXL in Lille and, lately, at the festival „Sens Interdits” in Lyon. In December it was presented in Reims.
