opening meetings

OPENING MEETINGS are a new cycle of meetings for young, active people especially interested in theatre, as well as for all those for who are looking for more than just seeing a performance. In an enlarged and modified formula, we propose our spectators periodical, multimedia presentations introducing texts currently prepared for staging at Wrocławski Teatr Współczesny. We want to present not only social, cultural and political contexts of the creation of a given work, but also – whenever possible – show staging traditions or possibilities of interpreting the work in question. Presentations not exceeding one hour, including fragments of films, slideshows, curiosities anecdotes etc., and involving an active participation of the audience, may become a background for developing an individual, independent opinion on the premiered production.
